Jebel (“mountain” in
Arabic) initially
commenced training
as a Mountain
Rescue Search
Dog, but later
transferred to
qualify as a
Disaster Search
Dog.
In
January 2000,
together with
Search Dog “Annie”,
he took part
in the first
deployment of
Search Dogs in
a building collapse
incident in England
since the Second
World War. The
dogs successfully
identified the
location of a
man buried in
a collapsed building
in Liverpool.
A
sparky and effervescent
character and
a willing and
persistent working
companion, he
is sorely missed
by Jim and Lori
Greenwood
Chorley sadly
passed away in
her sleep
at a ripe old
age of 16 years
plus
this month, July
2007.
She will be sadly
missed by her
family.
